OUR HISTORY

It all started when I wanted to show our youth ministry at Rhema International Ministry how to handle peer pressure. I wanted to film the skits and show them to the youth. The feedback was great and it really helped them, but when I was editing the footage I felt a tug on my heart as if I was supposed to be doing this. I then prayed about this feeling, and the Lord told me to start producing commercials for local businesses in Albany, GA. So then, I purchased a camera that could do both video and photography. I learned photography and videography at the same time, all watching YouTube videos. I was fiddling with a name and my wife, Brittney Overstreet, helped me birth Overstreet Media Services. I was working at a local cable company and just had my 2nd child when I started.

I started offering free photoshoots just to see what I can do and to show others what I was capable of, to my surprise the images came out great! I kept studying and learning, I kept pressing myself for greater and greater results. I was creating videos for my Pastor, Scott T. Sanders, and this gave me content to show to businesses, of the work I could do. I’ve done work for P&G, the Health Department, and some local businesses in the area. I videoed my first wedding for $100 just to get my foot in the market. Since then, I’ve been asked to do numerous weddings in the Albany and Atlanta, Ga area. Now, I’m full time, since June 2019 when a contract on the Marine Base was not renewed, I stepped out on faith and haven’t look back since. The support from the local community is amazing, I rarely market, most of my customers come from word of mouth. I really enjoy capturing memories for weddings, families and creating videos that grab a customer’s attention.

This has not been a smooth ride at all. There are always challenges everyday. When I first purchased my camera, someone broke into my car and stole it. I was without a camera for almost two weeks, I thought it was over. I told a deacon at my church, Cantrell Sias, about what happened and he let me finance his camera, which was a better one than mine at an affordable rate and no interest. Now today, I have three cameras and was able to give his camera back to him.

I specialize in bringing your ideas into fruition. People love my creativity and what I bring to the table. My long term goal is to produce on an international level, to do business with brands such as Coca Cola, Nike and etc. The very thing I am proud of as a company is able to deliver over and beyond what my customers expect of me. If I don’t get a “wow” from my customer, I essentially feel as if I didn’t do my job. What sets me apart from others is my customer service, I think enough of my customers to give them a great experience and a great product at the same time.
